Local Business Support – Thank You Fatima Bregman!
The Withrow Park Farmers’ Market is a Saturday morning staple in the Riverdale community from June to October. This year the farmers’ market celebrated 11 years and has grown a lot since its humble beginnings. It’s a place for the community to connect with healthy, fresh, and sustainable foods grown and produced locally. The farmers’ market is also a non-profit organization run almost entirely by volunteers. Neighbours from near and far come to connect with each other, enjoy live music, have fun with kids’ crafts and attend special events, all while doing their weekly shopping.
It’s because of the generosity and support of local businesses and individuals such as Fatima Bregman that we’re able to connect our community around good food and host special events like our Annual Corn Roast.
As a sponsor, Fatima Bregman has shown her support for strengthening the local economy, promoting health and sustainability, and improving her community through progressive and forward-thinking initiatives. Fatima has also become part of a food security movement that protects and enhances the way food is grown and distributed in the province.
Our valued sponsors and community partners provide funding that pays for equipment purchases, operational expenses, community events, and market research and improvements. Sponsors like Fatima support us as we continue to build a successful and vibrant market, which in turn, keeps local farms and entrepreneurs in production and our community connected.
Thank you, Fatima Bregman, for being a valuable part of the Withrow Park Farmers’ Market Community!
