BUFCO

The Backyard Urban Farm Co. is back this week with flowers and cold hardy seedlings like kale, chard, bok choy, lettuce and spinach. They will also have herbs! Four varieties of basil, cilantro, parsley and dill!

Brian Hamlin, Bee Keeper

Brian will be away from the market this Saturday, and back next month.
Next week Brian will guide a Portlands apiary visit of his hives! Meet Brian on Tuesday, August 26th, 6:00pm at 470 Unwin Ave. (The lane to the Portland Energy Centre just off Unwin Ave.) His dark blue truck will be parked there. Leslie Street to Unwin is closed so Cherry Street is the best alternative.

Christine and her team will be back at the market next Saturday.

We welcome Keint-he Winery & Vineyards! Centrally located in Prince Edward County’s wine region, Keint-he produces domestic wines that exhibit European minerality and acidity. The vines are lovingly raised in the limestone rich soils of their three distinct and unique vineyards. They only focuses on those grape varietals that most effectively showcase the terroir of the region. Our Community

In Withrow Park

Celebrate the end of summer with a community picnic at the north end of Withrow Park. Bring your blanket and dinner to the park on Sunday, August 31st at 6pm.

Come early and participate in the all ages drama workshop offered by Shakespeare in the Ruff at 5pm. The workshop is free but registration is required at : young_ruffians@shakespeare intheruff.com

Stay after you have eaten to enjoy the final performance of Cymbeline by Shakespeare in the Ruff at Withrow. Music begins at 7 pm and performance at 7:30. Pay what you can.
